What can I say, I'm tired of an old concept being preached as the newest greatest thing that will solve all our problems, but really won't. Basically the cloud is use turning our computers back into dumb terminals, where we pay monthly fees to do anything. Somehow that doesn't sound like a good thing, it sounds like an mmo (which I just bought a life time subscription to.. oh well). But yeah, it's an old concept large companies have been trying to push for a long time, because they make considerably more money renting than they do selling. Now there are places where this is better, but many places where it's worse. I mean, if you're doing a server type app, then it's really not your thing since if it goes down, there's nothing you can do, plus you're trusting your security to another company or multiple companies, and it's only as good as secure as your weakest link. Then you add on the fact that they can upgrade/change the app anytime they want, so unless you're their main customer, you get put on the queue if there's an issue. Oh well. Ending my rant.
