But Snow Crash is an amazing book.

On a separate note, my wife didn't get to PC game much as a kid, so we're going through and playing some of the classics. Do any of you have suggestions of older must play games? Right now we're playing through System Shock 2 and Baldur's Gate. Other games on the list are (ideally looking for games that can be played co-op, I haven't checked if the following games fall into that category or not):
  • Doom 2
  • Duke Nukem 3D
  • Hexen
  • Freespace
  • Wing Commander: Prophecy
  • Warcraft (at least a few games)
  • Neverwinter Nights


I'm sure I'm missing a lot of greats, but that's why I'm asking you guys to chime in, in the comments below. Let me know.

Please don't think any of your game suggestions are silly, a friend just recommended Star Trek Armada under the guise of "I don't think you liked it, but...," and it reminded me of Star Trek Elite Force which I liked. That then reminded me of Unreal II which I liked the story of, which I played through after EF. So please throw your ideas below, it just might just spark off the memory of others.

Another friend shot me this link, and it reminded me of the MechWarrior 2 line (a set of awesome games).
