Capion: Making a comic is an intricate four step process. 
Capion: Step 1. Stare at the blank paper for inspiration. 
Panel 2 
Capion: Step 2. Keep staring, because you haven't thought of anything yet. 
Panel 3 
Capion: Step 3. Look at the clock and swear a lot when you realize that the comic was supposed to be up 2 hours ago. 
Panel 4 
Comic: But the cow goes mooooooo!
Capion: Step 4. Scribble down something strange and vague so people think you're actually making a joke.

Not the only one
Ok, this is sometimes how I do the comic, but I'm not the only one. Tim Buckly made a character (Chef Brian) specifically for this process, and Penny Arcade has made a profession out of it (Fruit Saga, part 4). So, don't blame me, everyone's doing it.
